For a fifth consecutive year, Satori Capital was honored with a “Best Places to Work in Money Management” award from Pensions & Investments magazine. This year, Satori ranked third in the small employer category, which includes firms with 20 to 49 employees. Overall, a record 76 firms were included in the 2019 rankings.

The P&I program, now in its eighth year, identifies and recognizes companies in the money management industry that stand out for their efforts to create supportive cultures. P&I partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research firm, to assess firms through surveys that evaluated factors such as employee engagement and satisfaction, workplace policies and practices, benefits, and demographics. “This year’s winners stand out for their commitment to their people and the communities in which they operate,” said P&I Editor Amy B. Resnick. “These firms know that their employees are the greatest assets they have.”

Satori was recognized for its “Optimal Living” initiative, which supports the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of team members, and for employee wellness programs such as a weekly on-site chiropractor, yearly gym allowances, and chef-prepared daily lunches. The profile on Satori in P&I‘s December 9, 2019, issue includes the following quotations from the anonymous employee survey:

“Satori hires A-players, and it’s a pleasure to work with others who are performing at the top of their game. Satori also offers a great deal of flexibility, great benefits and perks, and a genuine commitment to employees’ well-being.”

“Satori treats employees with dignity and respect, creates a culture where it’s fun and rewarding to work hard and create extraordinary outcomes, and works transparently so that everyone has a genuine understanding of where we’re aiming to be in the next three to five years, how our annual goals support that mission, and how our daily actions as employees drive the organization toward that goal.”

Satori has created a “relaxed and joyful office environment where employees genuinely enjoy working together.”

The P&I award is one of several Satori has received for workplace excellence. In addition to winning the P&I award in the four previous years, the firm has been named to the “Best Companies to Work for in Fort Worth” list by FW Inc. magazine every year since 2016, and to the Dallas Business Journal‘s “Best Places to Work in North Texas” list in 2017 and 2019. Satori also ranked #4 of the 2019 “100 Best Companies to Work for in Texas,” a program created by Texas Monthly, the Texas Association of Business, the Texas Society for Human Resource Management, and Best Companies Group.

Disclaimer: The Best Places to Work in Money Management honor is awarded by Pensions & Investments magazine to businesses in the financial services industry, including Satori Capital. Winners were assessed through an anonymous employee survey that measured key areas of an organization’s culture ranging from compensation and benefits to trust in senior leadership. Similar independent employee surveys were conducted for the FW Inc. magazine, Dallas Business Journal, and Texas Monthly awards. Satori Capital did not pay to participate in any ranking, and employee participation in all surveys was completely voluntary.
