Satori Capital has announced its investment in Komline-Sanderson (“Komline”), a designer and manufacturer of industrial water filtration and pollution control systems.

Founded in 1946 and headquartered in Peapack, New Jersey, Komline provides and maintains tailored filtration and pollution control solutions for a diverse group of customers around the world, including municipal wastewater treatment facilities, waste-to-energy utilities, and industrial processing plants in end markets such as chemical manufacturing, food processing, and pharmaceuticals.

Komline has achieved impressive growth during its current CEO’s tenure, expanding at four times the industry average and doubling its EBITDA margins. The company is now poised to serve as a well-capitalized platform for acquisitions. Simultaneously with Satori’s investment, Komline acquired Barnes International, Inc. (“Barnes”), an Illinois-based manufacturer of coolant filtration equipment, and it has four other add-ons currently under letter of intent and more than 30 identified additional potential targets.

“Our investment in Komline positions the company well to consolidate a very large and fragmented industry,” said Sunny Vanderbeck, Satori co-founder and managing partner. “We anticipate a multi-faceted expansion of the business over the next few years, and we expect the combined enterprise to have a leading market share in multiple customer segments.”

Together with a co-investment partner, Sunny River Management, Satori completed the investment on March 17, 2021.  As with all its investments, the partnership with Komline aligns with Satori’s purpose: to create, fund, and inspire businesses that elevate humanity. Komline’s filtration and pollution control solutions contribute to cleaner air, water, and waste removal processes around the world. To learn more about Komline-Sanderson, visit komline.com.
