Management Company Controller

As management company controller, Brian oversees the accounting and financial operations of Satori’s multiple management companies, supporting private equity, alternatives, and thematic investment strategies, with a focus on driving scalable processes and delivering actionable financial insights. He is responsible for accounting operations across multiple entities, delivering financial statements and management reporting and analysis, managing Satori’s treasury functions, and administering cost allocations and reimbursement process, all while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policy.

Prior to joining Satori, Brian served as chief financial officer for family office Vista Mountain Development, where he built the firm’s management company function from the ground up. Prior to that, he was the director of corporate accounting and management company controller at Varagon Capital Partners, where he oversaw the corporate accounting function for the management company while staying hands-on with all aspects of financial operations. Earlier in his career, Brian was an auditor at Weaver, focusing on financial services clients including investment funds and banks.

Brian earned both his B.B.A. and Master of Accounting degrees from Texas Christian University, and he is a certified public accountant in Texas. He lives in Fort Worth with his wife, three children, and their rescue dog. In his free time, Brian enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, hiking, and watching college football.
