For a seventh consecutive year, Satori Capital was honored with a “Best Places to Work in Money Management” award from Pensions & Investments magazine.  This year, Satori ranked third in the small employer category, which includes firms with 20 to 49 employees.  Overall, 100 firms were included in the 2021 rankings.

Now in its tenth year, the P&I program identifies and recognizes companies in the money management industry that build healthy and thriving work cultures.  P&I partnered with Best Companies Group, an independent research firm, to assess firms through surveys that evaluated factors such as employee engagement and satisfaction, workplace policies and practices, benefits, and demographics.  View the full list of honorees here.

“The 100 firms profiled in our December issue grappled with myriad challenges posed by the pandemic and met them, helping ensure that their employees felt supported and able to do their best work,” said P&I executive editor Julie Tatge.

Satori was recognized for its “Optimal Living” program, which includes such benefits as healthy chef-prepared lunches, on-site chiropractic services, guided meditation sessions, and a yearly $1,000 allowance per employee for wellness-related purchases.  The profile on Satori also highlighted the firm’s “Satori Sweats” program, in which team members can try new types of fitness classes or work out together with a private trainer.  The program also includes step-tracking contests and walking meetings.

The profile on Satori in P&I‘s December 13, 2021, issue includes the following quotations from the anonymous employee survey:

“Satori walks its talk in everything it does, including how it treats all stakeholders, whether they be employees or external stakeholders.  As an employee, I am treated with the utmost kindness and respect.  I truly feel valued every day.

“Satori really cares about its stakeholders and always goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels well.  The benefits package is the best I have ever had, and the company has a family-like environment.”

“Good enough is never good enough at Satori.  The firm constantly strives to improve.  It’s inspiring to work at a firm where you have the opportunity to improve every day.  There’s always a new idea, which keeps everything fresh and the day-to-day more interesting.”

The P&I award is one of several Satori has received for workplace excellence.  In addition to winning the P&I award in the six previous years, the firm has been named to the “Best Companies to Work for in Fort Worth” list by Fort Worth Inc. magazine every year since 2016, and to the Dallas Business Journal‘s “Best Places to Work in North Texas” list in 2017, 2019, and 2020. Satori also ranked third in 2021 and fourth in 2019 and 2020 on the “100 Best Companies to Work for in Texas,” a program created by Texas Monthly, the Texas Association of Business, the Texas Society for Human Resource Management, and Best Companies Group.

Disclaimer: The Best Places to Work in Money Management honor is awarded by Pensions & Investments magazine to businesses in the financial services industry, including Satori Capital. Winners were assessed through an anonymous employee survey that measured key areas of an organization’s culture ranging from compensation and benefits to trust in senior leadership. Similar independent employee surveys were conducted for the FW Inc. magazine, Dallas Business Journal, and Texas Monthly awards. Satori Capital did not pay to participate in any ranking, and employee participation in all surveys was completely voluntary.
