Satori Power

Investing in the building blocks and bottlenecks of energy convergence

Satori Power is a fundamental, research-driven long/short equity fund investing across power, energy, materials, and industrial systems.

CIO Paul Strigler’s 20+ years of experience across energy subsectors uniquely positions Satori Power to “connect the dots” and capitalize on investing in the building blocks and bottlenecks in power today.

SECTORS AND THEMES

ADVANTAGES

CIO Paul Strigler has what we consider unmatched experience investing in energy and power, beginning with renewables at the sector’s inception and continuing over 20+ years of expanding experience with related subsectors. In Paul’s two decades in the space, he has encountered many “tourists” but few “residents” of this complex sector.

High volatility and dispersion make this sector inefficient and poorly suited for passive or long-only strategies. The steep learning curve creates a significant barrier for traditional energy investors and generalists, while large funds are unable to fully access the sector’s numerous smaller-cap names.

Since inception in February 2022, Satori Power has demonstrated its ability to opportunistically capture upside while protecting downside. The fund has effectively capitalized on both bottlenecks and disruption, significantly outperforming relevant sector benchmarks while achieving notably lower downside volatility.

The Satori Power team is resourceful in its pursuit of alpha – seeking to uncover signals that others miss, adopting AI early to accelerate idea flow and research, and being disciplined in pursuing second- and third-order implications. The team’s early detection of impactful company catalysts and industry shifts has been a key driver of outperformance.

Satori Capital provides institutional-scale support for all of Satori Power’s non-investment-related activities and expands its network and access to unique investment opportunities. Satori Power managing partner James Haddaway was previously a partner at Corriente Advisors, where he helped scale the firm from $30 million to $1.5 billion+ in AUM.
